Breast enlargement surgery and its complications
By admin

A breastenlargementsurgery is a procedure that most women nowadays are deciding to undergo. It can provide immediate results but it can also bring severe health disorders. Women who take the decision of going for this type of procedure should be aware of the risks and complications that it can cause.
A breastenlargementsurgery takes one or two hours or more depending on the type of surgery and is generally done under local anesthesia. The implant can be placed under the breast tissue or the chest muscle beneath the breast. In general, the surgery is performed on an outpatient basis, but sometimes hospitalization may be necessary for some individuals.
Plastic surgeons claim that this procedure is becoming much safer than it used to be but complications may occur with this surgery. The usual complications are breast pain, breast hardness and numbness in the nipples that may last for years. Some women may also develop an infection that may require the removal of the implants for several months until the infection clears. Implants may also occasionally leak, wrinkle, or change shape, when this occurs a second surgery is needed to replace the damaged implants. In some cases the may appear differences in shape and size of the breast after the surgery.
While there is no scientific evidence that breastenlargementsurgery causes breast cancer, the presence of breast implants can make it complicated to detect breast cancer on a mammogram.
Most women may also have to undergo a remedial surgery depending upon their age. Women under the age of 18 are not allowed to undergo breastenlargementsurgery.
